Knock, knock…

My husband teaches graduate students. As part of my job, I work closely with his students. Last week, one of them approached me as I was working in the shop. He looked like he had a question.
Me: “Hey, what’s up?’
Student: “Knock, knock.”
Yep, he walked right up to me and told me a knock, knock joke–old school.
Like elementary school, old school.
And I feel for it hook, line and sinker.
And it made my day. I instantly felt like a six year old again. That was a good feeling.

So what was the joke??
Here are some of my favorite corny kids’ jokes:
- A ghost walks into a bar and orders a bourbon. The bartender says, “I’m sorry, sir, we don’t serve spirits.”
- How much does a pirate charge for corn? A buccaneer.
Ok, I think it went like this:
Ree: Knock, knock.
Lori: Who’s there?
Ree: I eat mop.
Lori: I eat mop who?
Ree: Ha, ha–you said you eat your poo!
Fin.
Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap.
